Production Planner Opportunity

Escape Recruitment Serv Ltd is working with a specialist manufacturer who works within several sectors to appoint a Production Planner to join their Supply Chain Team.

The Production Planner will be responsible for producing and managing the production schedules to ensure the on-time completion of customer orders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop a detailed project schedule to ensure manufacturing processes are completed to meet the completion date
  • Monitor the progress of the production plan to ensure it is on track
  • Collaborate with the Sales Team to review sales orders and forecasts
  • Work closely with colleagues in procurement, production, and support teams to ensure availability of materials, workforce, and machinery
  • Attend regular meetings to discuss the production plan and its progress
  • Identify and resolve problems with the production plan
  • Analyze and produce reports using the ERP system for planning and reporting
  • Continuously seek improvements to processes and procedures

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working in a Production Planning role within a manufacturing organization (electronics would be highly advantageous)
  • Understanding of manufacturing, supply chain, and planning processes
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills
  • Experience in using ERP/MRP systems and strong Excel skills
  • Ability to prioritize workload and adapt to change
  • Problem-solving skills with a focus on finding solutions
  • Excellent communication skills and a team player
