Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Occupational Therapist to lead our community service, ensuring high standards and quality of care are delivered to service users and carers. The successful candidate will have a strong background in community therapy, with experience in managing complex caseloads and leading teams.

Main Responsibilities
  • Lead the community therapy service, ensuring high standards and quality of care are delivered to service users and carers.
  • Manage a caseload of service users with long-term conditions, terminal diagnoses, and those requiring rehabilitation post-hospital admission.
  • Develop and implement effective treatment plans, working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Provide clinical leadership and supervision to occupational therapy colleagues, ensuring high standards of practice and clinical governance.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical and managerial policies and protocols.
Key Skills and Qualifications
  • Postgraduate qualification in Occupational Therapy.
  • HCPC registration.
  • Extensive postgraduate experience in community and intermediate care.
  • Mental Capacity Act training.
  • Safeguarding Adults Training.
  • Clinical educator course.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
  • Master's degree in a relevant clinical area.
  • Management or leadership qualification.
