At Austin Fraser, we are seeking a highly skilled Principal Structural Engineer to join our team in one of our Northern Offices. As a global leader in sustainable engineering, architecture, and environmental consulting, we have a strong pipeline of work within the water sector.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Principal Structural Engineer with water experience to contribute to innovative solutions that improve water quality and manage urban pollution. You will work on exciting projects with major water companies across the UK and Ireland, including dams, reservoirs, and water and wastewater treatment plants.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with bids and cost estimates within project frameworks.
  • Participate in planning, programming, and coordinating urban drainage projects.
  • Evaluate and ensure effective project delivery through technical governance.
  • Prepare reports and conduct presentations both in-house and to stakeholders.

We require a Principal Structural Engineer who can carry out and lead structural design for concrete, steel, and masonry structures, with knowledge of civil and geotechnical engineering and an awareness of mechanical and electrical engineering.

The successful candidate will have experience working within a 3D design environment and proficiency in Robot Structures or similar FEM analysis software.
