Geotechnical Engineer

We are a leading engineering consultancy that specializes in geotechnical engineering, site investigation, and construction monitoring. Our team of experts works on a wide range of projects, from residential and commercial developments to large-scale roading and infrastructure projects.

We are seeking a highly skilled Geotechnical Engineer to join our team in Christchurch. The successful candidate will have a strong background in geotechnical engineering, site investigation, and construction monitoring. The role will involve a balance of office and field work, requiring collaboration with our team of engineers, surveyors, and planners, as well as clients and contractors.

• Conduct site investigations and undertake soil sampling, testing, and analysis
• Design and implement slope stability analysis, liquefaction studies, retaining walls, foundations, and pile design
• Monitor and supervise construction activities, ensuring compliance with project specifications and regulations
• Collaborate with clients and contractors to ensure successful project outcomes
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders

• Degree qualification in geotechnical engineering or postgraduate qualification in engineering geology (or similar)
• Minimum of three years of relevant New Zealand experience
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with an acute attention to detail
• Ability to work well within a team environment
