About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and professional lawyer to join our team at Wildfowl & Wetlands Trust (WWT) as a Wetlands Specialist. As a key member of our legal team, you will provide expert advice on a broad range of legal areas, including commercial contracting, funding agreements, land and property, insurance claims, and matters of charity and company governance.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide legal advice to colleagues across various departments, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including the Head of Legal and other senior leaders.
- Conduct research and analysis to stay up-to-date on relevant legal developments and ensure our organization remains compliant.
- Collaborate with colleagues to identify and mitigate potential legal risks, ensuring the organization's interests are protected.
- Contribute to the development of policies and procedures to ensure effective governance and risk management.
About You
We are looking for a qualified lawyer with a strong customer focus, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. You will have a strong understanding of commercial law, contract law, and charity law, as well as experience working in a similar role.
