We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Transport Planning Consultant to join our team at Huphuphup. As a key member of our transport planning team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality transport planning services to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Transport Development Planning: You will work on transport development planning projects, either in consultancy or a local authority, and have a good understanding of the principles of transport planning.
  • Project Management: You will have the ability to manage your own time to meet project deadlines and project manage smaller and medium-sized projects.
  • Team Collaboration: You will work with other consultancies in multi-discipline teams on development projects, including residential, commercial, retail, and leisure developments.
  • Technical Writing: You will have good presentation and technical writing skills, and be able to prepare and review technical documents, including Transport Assessments, Travel Plans, and Environmental Statement Chapters.
  • Software Skills: You will have experience building, running, and understanding the outputs of Junctions 10 and LinSig software.
  • Highway Design: You will have knowledge of highway design in MfS, DMRB, LTN1/20, and the requirements of Active Travel England and Healthy Streets.
  • Business Development: You will have the ability to pursue business development opportunities and build client relationships, supporting in negotiations and attending meetings with Highway Authorities.
  • Budget Management: You will have experience in preparing fee proposals for new projects and budget management.
