About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Proposals Engineer - Mechanical Design to join our client's team. As a Proposals Engineer - Mechanical Design, you will be responsible for creating concept design pieces and detailed quotations for client projects. You will also support the sales team in bringing on new business and perform detailed engineering calculations using software or hand calculations.

Key Responsibilities:

- Liaise with the sales team to create concept design pieces and detailed quotations for client projects
- Perform detailed engineering calculations using software or hand calculations
- Support the sales team in bringing on new business
- Collaborate with project management, engineering, quality, and supply chain teams

Requirements:

- Substantial experience in a mechanical design role
- Previous commercial responsibilities in a role
- Mechanical design qualification

About Our Client:

Our client is a leader in providing engineered solutions to the energy and renewable energy sectors. They design and fabricate a variety of mechanical components, including structural supports, heat exchanges, housing enclosures, exhaust systems, ventilation, and ducting. The UK arm of the business currently employs around 30 members of staff, with 50% of the team being design and projects engineers. As a business, they are experiencing growth and a consistent large volume of incoming projects globally within growing industries, which has seen their turnover grow from £30 million in 2018, to £80 million in 2023.
