Mechanical Design Engineer Opportunity

Acorn by Synergie is working in partnership with Honeywell in Yeovil, Somerset, to fill a Mechanical Design Engineer position. The successful candidate will work on a full-time basis, starting as soon as possible.

  1. Perform stress analysis using complex finite element methods and classical book calculation methods, and support testing.
  2. Conduct heat transfer analysis in practice and theory, including analytical correlations and complex finite element methods, and related topics in thermodynamics, single and multi-phase flows, and energy systems.
  3. Provide technical oversight to global engineering teams across time zones.
  4. Ensure project and product compliance.
  5. Manage risk.

Working Hours: A range of shifts are available:

  1. Days: Monday to Thursday (07:00 to 15:30) and Friday (07:00 to 12:00).
  2. Days / Late Swing Shift: Monday to Thursday (07:00 to 15:30) and Friday (07:00 to 13:00), with late shifts from Monday to Thursday (15:30 to 00:00).
  3. Permanent Nights: Starting Sunday night at 10:00pm and finishing at 07:00am Monday, with a rate of £00 per hour depending on experience and shift.
