Job Overview:

The Maintenance Handyperson will provide maintenance services across our two Nursing Homes, ensuring a high standard of maintenance and upkeep. This is a varied and rewarding role that requires good building maintenance skills and people skills.

Responsibilities:
  1. Implement actions to meet and maintain maintenance standards.
  2. Action both planned and reactive maintenance issues and prioritise in terms of urgency.
  3. Ensure accurate, legible maintenance audits are completed and maintained.
  4. Attend Heads of Department meetings to represent Maintenance.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Vocational qualification/HNC/City and Guilds in Maintenance or Building Services (desirable).
  • Good English written and verbal communication skills.
  • Plumbing, joinery, plastering skills.
  • Painting and decorating skills.
  • Health and safety knowledge pertaining to building maintenance.
Estimated Salary:

£12.50 per hour, depending on experience.
