About the Role
The post holder will be responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of evidenced-based nursing care, working collaboratively and co-operatively with others to meet the needs of patients and their families. The ideal candidate must demonstrate commitment to their own personal development and show keen interest in the future development of the profession and ophthalmology services.
Main Responsibilities
- To participate in the education, development, and supervision of other staff members.
- To act in accordance with the NMC Code of Professional Conduct.
Requirements
The successful applicant will possess a clear understanding of the contract of care, ability to document details clearly and accurately, and clear understanding of the consent process. Basic IT skills are also essential. In addition, the candidate should have pre-registration evidence in direct nursing care, experience of providing holistic nursing care, and interest in developing nursing skills. A registered nurse/nursing degree or diploma is also required.
