At Howells Recruitment, we are seeking an experienced Senior Maintenance Manager to lead our commercial refurbishment team based in Bracknell. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the management of planned works, fit-out, and refurbishments of commercial properties in the South East/Berkshire area.

Job Overview

We are working with a reputable contractor to find a highly skilled Senior Maintenance Manager who can take charge of our maintenance operations, ensuring that all works are carried out efficiently and effectively.

About the Role

This is a fantastic opportunity for a seasoned professional with excellent leadership skills and technical knowledge of building maintenance, repair, and renovation to join our dynamic team.

You will be responsible for supervising and leading a team of maintenance technicians and contractors, inspecting properties to identify repair and maintenance needs, and maintaining accurate records of maintenance and repair work, materials used, and costs incurred.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of maintenance technicians and contractors to ensure efficient and effective completion of planned works, fit-out, and refurbishments.
  • Inspect properties to identify repair and maintenance needs, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair work, materials used, and costs incurred.
  • Monitor budgets and costs, making recommendations for cost-effective solutions.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure effective communication and coordination on housing-related matters.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations and company policies.
  • Provide regular reports and updates to management regarding the status of maintenance operations.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a supervisory or leadership role in property maintenance, fit-out, or refurbishment.
  • Strong technical knowledge of building maintenance, repair, and renovation.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficiency in using maintenance management software and basic computer applications.
  • Understanding of health and safety regulations in housing maintenance.
  • A valid driver's license.
