Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Strategic Business Optimization Specialist to join our team at DLA Piper. As a key member of our Business Improvement Team, you will play a critical role in driving and supporting large complex initiatives that enhance operational efficiency, streamline processes, and align business functions with the firm's strategic objectives.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in business analysis, with experience in shaping the BA approach to deliver complex initiatives. You will be responsible for owning and driving analysis on cross-functional initiatives, defining project plans, and applying problem-solving skills to ensure successful outcomes.

In this role, you will work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements, conduct research and analysis, and develop solutions that meet compliance and regulatory requirements. Your expertise in Agile/Scrum methodologies and Lean/Six Sigma tools will enable you to analyze complex processes, identify bottlenecks, and propose innovative solutions.

You will also be responsible for developing and maintaining best practice business analysis capabilities, providing mentorship and guidance to junior analysts, and staying up-to-date with industry trends and standards.

About You

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  1. At least 7 years' experience in business analysis, preferably in a legal or consultancy background.
  2. Certification in business analysis, such as BCS or IIBA (CCBA, CBATL, PMI-PBA).
  3. Strong experience in mentoring junior analysts, developing customer journeys, and client onboarding.
