The Role

We are seeking an experienced Ecologist to join our team in Melton Mowbray. As a key member of our ecology department, you will be responsible for conducting baseline and protected species surveys, impact assessments, and biodiversity net gain evaluations. You will also contribute to habitat creation and restoration projects, working closely with our team to advance industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Conducting baseline and protected species surveys, impact assessments, and biodiversity net gain evaluations
  2. Contributing to habitat creation and restoration projects
  3. Working closely with the team to advance industry standards
  4. Developing and implementing ecological solutions to meet client needs
  5. Collaborating with colleagues to achieve project goals

Requirements

  1. Degree in an ecological/environmental discipline or equivalent work experience
  2. Full UK driving licence and own car
  3. Willingness to travel and conduct fieldwork
  4. Good written and verbal communication skills
  5. Proficiency in computer skills and technology use
  6. Enthusiasm for the sector and ability to work effectively in a small team
  7. Self-motivated and able to work independently
