We are seeking a highly skilled Finance Business Partner to join our team in the Midlands and North Region. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for providing financial support and analysis to our Regional Director/MD and their teams.
Key Responsibilities:- Partner with the Regional Director/MD and their teams to provide financial support and analysis.
- Interpret monthly management accounts to provide meaningful analysis and commentary against budgets, forecasts, and previous years' performance.
- Provide analysis and challenge on the utilisation of the rental fleet, rental rates, transport rates, and 360 products to deliver against budget and forecast targets.
- Produce monthly regional/OBU trading and reporting packs with appropriate league tables for depot and sales performance by salesperson.
- Prepare quarterly forecasts and annual budgets for all depots and regional functions, delivering insight and analysis to identify and communicate long-term trends to key stakeholders.
- Support the identification and implementation of initiatives across the business, including preparing business cases with robust financial models.
- Provide robust financial analysis of the Delivery & Installation part of the P&L and help identify cost-saving or margin-enhancing opportunities.
- Monitor maintenance costs per unit and challenge production efficiency in the end-to-end yard process to drive optimal cost per unit type.
- Develop and review end-to-end contract profitability, making recommendations to senior stakeholders on improvements across different customers and product sets.
- Support the financial accounting teams by providing operational insight into the month-end numbers and supplementary analysis required for external reporting.
- Qualified Accountant
- Minimum 3 years' experience in FP&A/FBP role
- Strong analytical skills & ability to manipulate large data sets
- Confident communicator with the ability to manage a diverse set of senior stakeholders
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build trust and influence at a senior level
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Able to work independently
- Proactive in approach
- Able to prioritise effectively to focus on high impact activities
- Strong commercial acumen
