Dermatology Specialist

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Consultant Dermatologist, Specialty Doctor or GPwER Dermatologist to join our Community Dermatology Service in Kent and Medway. Our service provides innovative, high-quality care to over 15,000 patients annually from Whitstable, Canterbury, Folkestone, and Thanet locations.

We seek an experienced professional to deliver exceptional patient care, working collaboratively with our team of specialist nurses and other healthcare professionals. As a key member of our team, you will provide assessment, investigation, and treatment for dermatology patients of all ages, excluding specific referrals. Your expertise will be invaluable in delivering a full diagnostic service, including phlebotomy, biopsy, and swab taking, and reporting results.

1. Provide high-quality, accessible care with consultant oversight, meeting NICE guidance and best practice standards.
2. Refer complex cases to hospital when necessary, ensuring timely and effective management.
3. Collaborate with primary care teams to maximize clinical care delivery for patients with associated conditions.

To succeed in this role, you must have a proven track record of providing high-quality care, knowledge of outpatient dermatology, and experience managing acute dermatoses. Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently within a primary care environment are essential.
