Job Role

This role involves moving household and office furniture and other items to new premises or via storage.

You will work in small to large teams, using your skills and experience to deliver exceptional results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Household removals and relocations
  • Office removals and relocations
  • Taking goods into or out of storage
  • Large specialist projects, such as moving hospital libraries or school equipment
  • Moving specialist fine art and furniture
Day-to-Day Tasks
  • Safely packaging items before removal or storage
  • Wrapping and protecting furniture for shipping overseas
  • As a specialist packer, you may be required to visit locations before the move to wrap and pack delicate items
  • Using packaging to protect fragile items, such as computers or antiques
  • Taking apart larger items of furniture for packing and removal
  • Removing doors, door frames, or windows to facilitate large furniture movements
  • Packing items, loading them into your vehicle, and securing them safely
  • Checking that all goods are secure before driving off
  • Driving to the new location, unloading items, reassembling large items, and placing them where the customer wants them
  • Unwrapping furniture and unpacking cartons
Requirements
  • Flexible working hours, working as and when required
  • Driving Licence holders preferred
  • Experience preferred in removal or similar roles
