About the Role

Climate17 is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Engineer to join our team as a Heat Network Specialist. As a key member of our Building Design team, you will be responsible for designing and delivering heat network projects, working closely with clients and stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop heat network projects from concept to completion, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
  • Collaborate with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams to gather requirements, develop project scope, and ensure timely delivery.
  • Conduct site surveys, gather data, and develop detailed designs for heat network systems, including heat emitters, valves, and plant room equipment.
  • Produce specification documents, including technical specifications, schedules, and description of operations and controls philosophy.
  • Work closely with the Quality Assurance team to ensure compliance with specifications at installation, commissioning, and handover.
Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a Consulting Engineering role within the building services industry, with a focus on heat networks and communal heating systems.
  • Good understanding of heat network design, construction, commissioning, and operation, including common pitfalls and key failures.
  • Ability to produce calculations, deliverables, and specifications across RIBA3 and RIBA4 heating and hot water systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office packages and AutoCAD or other suitable software packages.
