About the Role at Compass Fostering:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Advanced Social Work Practitioner to join our dedicated team. As an Advanced Practitioner, you will play a vital role in delivering a high-quality, comprehensive service to our parents and children.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing a flexible and high-quality service to our parents and children, using legal, regulatory, and statutory guidance to inform practice decisions.
  • Managing a reduced caseload and providing line management, professional supervision, and performance appraisals for a small number of social care staff/students.
  • Supporting the organisation in ensuring that our service is run in line with Compass Parent & Child Policy and legislation, regulations, and standards.
  • Working with the Operations Manager to support complex cases, practice development, and responding to safeguarding issues.
  • Leading on identified projects and service developments.
  • Having a relevant professional qualification in social work, being Social Care England (or equivalent) registered, and having substantial experience of residential practice, including assessments.
  • Having a good knowledge of parent and child regulations, child care law, and safeguarding issues, as well as the ability to make objective professional assessments of parents and children.
  • Being a strong team player and demonstrating excellent verbal and written communication skills.
