Medical Affairs Director

Role SummaryThis role will support the General & Speciality Medicine portfolio strategy with a focus on HIV therapy. You will lead the development and implementation of the HIV medical plan in the UK by providing medical insight and applying expert knowledge on our portfolio or the disease area.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing non-promotional medical and scientific support to healthcare professionals.
- Maintaining professional relationships with healthcare professionals, providers, and academic centres.
- Participating in the development of Country Medical Affairs Plans (CMAPs).
- Implementing tactics identified in the CMAP aligned with the Company's therapeutic areas of interest.
- Developing partnerships with market access, regulatory, and development colleagues.
- Interacting with healthcare organisations, health professionals, clinical investigators, and other healthcare providers and organisations.
- Maintaining in-depth knowledge of relevant products and disease areas.
- Representing the Medical Department at local or regional non-promotional medical events.
- Facilitating the delivery of data generation activities (phase I-IV).
Requirements:
- Medical degree or pharmacy degree.
- Proven relationship building skills with scientific leaders in the pharmaceutical industry or healthcare/academic setting.
- Therapy Area knowledge and experience either in the pharmaceutical industry or in a healthcare setting preferred.
- IT skills, including but not limited to MS Office software.
