We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Staff Nurse to join our team at Homerton Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. As a Senior Staff Nurse, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality care to children and young people, working collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to achieve the best health outcomes.
Main Responsibilities:- Support the Ward Manager in the day-to-day running of the unit and contribute to achieving team objectives.
- Utilize your clinical expertise and specialist knowledge to extend the role of nursing and meet the needs of children, parents, and families.
- Work closely with the Ward Manager and Practice Development nurse to ensure that nursing practice within the ward is of high standard, evidence-based, and clinically effective.
- Collaborate with the medical team to deliver the highest quality care to our patients.
- Act as a team leader for a group of nurses within the ward, providing mentorship, undertaking appraisals, and supporting their professional development goals.
- NMC registered Nurse - Child branch.
- Post Registration Qualification ENB 998 or prep for mentorship course.
- Able to make effective decisions autonomously and in partnership with children, families, and the multidisciplinary team.
- High levels of clinical experience with children.
- Experience of working within an acute and/or community paediatric team.
- Experience of facilitating care of children between different care settings.
- Knowledge of current issues and trends in paediatrics and the Health Service.
- NMC Codes and Guidelines.
