Join our Team as a Welcome Manager

We are seeking a dynamic and engaging Welcome Manager to lead our team of Service Assistants at our Visitor Centre in Chartwell, one of the National Trust's key Portfolios. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for providing the best experience for our visitors, welcoming and inviting them to support us in safeguarding the future of Chartwell.

About the Role

As a Welcome Manager, you will have day-to-day responsibility for the running of the Visitor Centre, leading our team of brilliant Service Assistants and dedicated Volunteers. You will work closely with property teams to identify and develop fundraising opportunities, leading the Welcome Team to put those at the heart of what they do.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the Welcome Team to deliver key fundraising and membership targets as part of our charitable cause
  • Support our Programming through participating in the delivery of exciting Events that we run as part of our year
  • Motivate the Welcome Team and include our Volunteers in our efforts to make Chartwell a wonderful place to work in and visit
  • Take on the role of Duty Manager for the day at regular intervals throughout each month

You'll be a great fit if you have

  • Good practical experience in visitor business, in tourist, heritage or relevant visitor services environment
  • Naturally curious about people, and with a passion to and experience of delivering the highest standards of customer service
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Confident leader, adaptable and responsive under pressure
  • Ability to initiate service recovery without senior support
