Are you a skilled electrician looking for a new challenge? As a Freight Locomotive Electrician at Shorterm Group, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the electrical systems of our busy fleet of locomotives. With a competitive salary of £44,182 per annum and opportunities for overtime at an enhanced rate, this is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about working with electrical systems.

As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for undertaking general maintenance and performing operational checks on our fleet of locomotives. This will involve using your electrical skills to undertake electrical checks and testing, fault finding, diagnostics and rectification. You will also support the mechanical technicians during less busy periods in general maintenance.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a Technical NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification, as well as a full UK driving license. You must also be able to live within a 1-hour commutable distance from the depot and pass a Network Rail related Medical and Drug & Alcohol check.
