Podiatric Surgery Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Podiatric Surgery Specialist to join our team at Derbyshire Community Health Services NHS Trust.

The successful candidate will work as a member of the Ilkeston or Chesterfield Podiatric Surgery teams in the Ilkeston Theatre Suite at Ilkeston Community Hospital and providing outpatient care at Ilkeston or Scarsdale, Chesterfield sites.

The role involves working with the Podiatric Surgery teams within outpatients and theatre, providing a high standard of clinical care and assisting the responsible Podiatric Consultant in conducting out-patient clinics and theatre.

The ideal candidate will have a keen interest and some experience in Podiatric Surgery, with HCPC registration and a degree in Podiatry.

Key Responsibilities:

1. To provide specialist liaison for the Community Podiatry Team, providing specialist advice regarding the Podiatric Surgery service to Podiatrists, professionals in other fields, and patients.
2. To assist the responsible Podiatric Consultant in conducting out-patient clinics and theatre.
3. To adhere to policies, strategies and objectives of the Podiatric Surgery team and employing NHS Trust.
4. To recognise and speak up about improvements to policies, strategies and objectives of the Podiatric Surgery team.
