About Our Client
Our client, a family-run business based in Rugby, Warwickshire, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Management Accountant to join their team. With a strong foundation of core values and a welcoming work environment, they pride themselves on having a close-knit team of 30 employees.
Your New Role
As their Management Accountant, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of their financial accounts, including producing monthly Profit and Loss reports, preparing monthly budgets and management reports, and overseeing full credit control. You will also act as the main point of contact for customer inquiries within the accounts department, handle payroll, manage VAT returns, and track the financial performance of individual projects for invoicing and Profit and Loss analysis.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all financial accounts, including producing monthly Profit and Loss reports and preparing monthly budgets and management reports
- Oversee full credit control, from issuing invoices to payment reconciliation
- Act as the main point of contact for customer inquiries within the accounts department
- Handle payroll and manage VAT returns
- Track the financial performance of individual projects for invoicing and Profit and Loss analysis
- Conduct cash flow forecasting, budgeting, and financial planning
- Implement new ideas and processes for continuous improvement
- Support the development of internal systems
- Partner with Project Managers and Directors by providing financial analysis, reports, and strategic advice
- Manage Management Information (MI) and dashboards
Requirements
- ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualification (or equivalent)
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role
- Familiarity with Lean principles is an advantage but not essential
- Experience with Xero and Simpro (CRM) is preferred but not required
