About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Investment Director to join our team at Lloyds Banking Group. As a key member of our private equity arm, you will be responsible for leading and originating transactions, winning mandates, completing investments, and managing portfolio companies efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and originate transactions, including evaluating investment strategies, identifying key opportunities and risks, and presenting potential investments to committee.
  • Manage portfolio companies, including acting as a non-executive director on the board of investee companies and ensuring effective risk management and control.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of our office's marketing plans and initiatives.
  • Participate in the delivery of our medium-term plan through the achievement of agreed budgets and targets.
  • Coach and manage more junior members of the team and set an example with a positive and professional attitude.

Requirements
  • A wealth of prior M&A experience, either in private equity, advisory, due diligence, leveraged finance, or broader industry experience.
  • Direct private equity experience is not necessary if you have a proven record of originating and winning new business.
  • Strong qualitative and quantitative analytical skills.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills to support relationship building with management teams and the corporate finance community.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
  • Entrepreneurial and motivated by personal success.
  • High levels of personal integrity and honesty.
