We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team in Knutsford, UK. This role offers a unique opportunity to work on exciting projects in the nuclear power engineering sector.

About the Opportunity

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical design and experience working in highly regulated industries such as civil or nuclear power. The role involves reviewing designs, producing safety cases, advising on maintenance and testing requirements, and providing technical guidance to colleagues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Reviewing and developing designs for mechanical systems and equipment
  • Producing safety cases and risk assessments
  • Providing technical guidance and support to colleagues
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver projects
Requirements
  • Chartered or Incorporated member of IMechE (or equivalent)
  • Degree qualified Mechanical engineer (or accomplished engineer through apprentice route with relevant expertise)
  • Experience of working in highly regulated industries such as civil or nuclear power
  • Knowledge of standards and regulations related to mechanical design and safety
