Grwp Llandrillo Menai is a leading education provider in North Wales, dedicated to improving people's futures. With over 2,000 staff members and delivering to 21,000 learners across Anglesey, Conwy, Denbigh, and Gwynedd, we are one of the largest colleges in the UK.
We offer opportunities to develop your career across various professions, whether you're part of our front-line lecturing team or in business support and management. If you have a dedication to education and public services, we will encourage and support you to reach your potential.
This role involves being responsible for the recruitment, retention, and completion of a standardised caseload of learners who have chosen to enrol on Health & Social Care work-based learning qualifications.
The Assessor is responsible for delivering training, assessment, and quality assurance of learners' work, overseeing their knowledge and practical competence in the workplace setting.
This may include residential homes for the elderly, individuals with learning disabilities/autism/mental health, adult shared living placements, adult community support work, primary care, general practice, and NHS clinical environments.
You will recruit for and deliver a variety of Health & Social Care Adults work-based learning qualifications. Your daily tasks will involve meeting with learners and employers within different workplace settings, with some remote working but with some travel expected.
You will be expected to represent the Health & Social Care team of assessors within Grwp Llandrillo Menai and promote the courses offered to encourage recruitment. The ability to teach small group workshop sessions in Health & Social Care would be beneficial, however the majority of the delivery in this area is done on a 1-1 basis.
Salary: £35,000 - £42,000 per annum, depending on experience
Benefits:
- Pension Provider: Local Government Pension Scheme
- Annual Leave: 28 days rising to 32 after 5 years, plus Bank Holidays and efficiency days
About Us: Grwp Llandrillo Menai was established in 2012 as a result of mergers between Coleg Llandrillo, Coleg Menai, and Coleg Meirion Dwyfor.
