Pulsant is seeking a highly skilled Electrical and Mechanical Project Engineer to join our team in Edinburgh. As a key member of our data centre operations team, you will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and operating all electrical and mechanical systems across our data centre site.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure records databases are kept up to date and that all related reports and checks are completed in a timely manner.
- Maintain a duty of care for everyone on site - immediately report any health and safety concerns and stop work if necessary.
- Assist with rack installations and cabling to obtain the maximum cooling efficiencies from the deployment.
- Perform system monitoring, environment monitoring, remote / smart hands activities on behalf of customers, 3rd parties and other Pulsant technical teams as required.
- Carry out PPM tasks in a timely manner ensuring optimal building and facilities integrity, upkeep, maintenance, and aesthetics.
- Stock control of Pulsant assets and store management. Maintain Critical Spares for the Data Centre.
- Involvement with regards to testing and handover, and knowledge and understanding of any new infrastructure or hardware/software installed monitoring the facility.
- Time served electrical engineer, qualified to current electrical regulations (i.e. hold a current 18th Edition certification).
- Mechanical experience would be advantageous but not essential.
