Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and nurturing SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team. As a key member of the school support staff, you will be responsible for supporting students with Special Educational Needs and Learning Disabilities.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of SEN and be passionate about making learning accessible to all students. You will work closely with teachers and parents to provide behavioral and emotional support, as well as plan and deliver individual programmes tailored to each student's needs.

You will need to demonstrate a commitment to confidentiality, safeguarding, and child protection policies and procedures. Your ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with the school community is essential.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • A good knowledge of SEN and a passion for developing pupils in a school setting
  • NVQ in Childcare and Education or Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools (Unqualified Teaching Assistants are also welcome to apply)
  • Experience of supporting social and emotional development and dealing with challenging situations effectively
  • Passionate and enthusiastic about teaching and helping pupils
  • Able to commute to High Wycombe
  • Current valid DBS or willingness to obtain one
