Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Roadside Rescue Mechanic to join our team at The AA. As a key member of our emergency response team, you will be responsible for providing roadside assistance and vehicle recovery services to our customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Respond to emergency calls and provide roadside assistance to customers in a timely and professional manner.
  • Diagnose and repair vehicles at the roadside, using a range of tools and equipment.
  • Work independently and as part of a team to achieve targets and meet customer expectations.
  • Communicate effectively with customers, providing clear and concise information about the repair process and estimated completion time.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of new procedures and processes to improve service delivery and customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • NVQ3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair, or equivalent qualifications with appropriate experience.
  • A full category B driving licence, with 6 points or less.
  • Ability to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and Bank Holidays.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers and colleagues.
  • Physical fitness and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
