About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our kitchen team as an Apprentice Culinary Specialist. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional food quality and service to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Preparation and Planning: Work closely with your team leader to prepare and plan menus, ensuring that ingredients are prepared and ready to cook in adequate quantities.
  2. Cooking and Presentation: Cook dishes to specification, checking levels and demand to ensure that orders are fulfilled on time. Take pride in presenting products to consistently high standards, ensuring exceptional quality and taste.
  3. Food Hygiene and Safety: Ensure that the kitchen is compliant with food hygiene systems, completing all relevant company records and HACCP paperwork.
  4. Kitchen Maintenance: Maintain a clean, tidy, and safe kitchen environment, willing to scrub in and wash-up whenever needed.
  5. Customer Service: Offer up-to-date knowledge and advice on our food products to customers and colleagues, helping to maximize sales potential.
  6. Communication and Teamwork: Communicate and escalate any product issues or concerns to your team leader, working together with the larger catering team to meet different circumstances.
  7. Training and Development: Embrace learning opportunities, undertaking further training required to refresh your knowledge or develop your skills. Share your knowledge with colleagues, helping to coach and train new team members.
