We are working with Toyota Motor Manufacturing UK at their world-class manufacturing facility in Derbyshire to find an experienced mechanical engineer to join their growing team.

Job Summary

This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled mechanical engineer to join TMUK's facilities division, responsible for all onsite infrastructure, including buildings, lighting, heating, waste management systems, and electricity distribution.

You will work on valuable projects to replace and improve equipment to meet Toyota's group energy targets and legal compliance requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage onsite facilities maintenance teams
  • Oversee external contractors
  • Lead project management from conception to completion
  • Support CO2 & energy reduction efforts
  • Manage contracts for safety and legislative areas such as gas, fire, pressure vessels, and lifting equipment

This role would suit someone who has completed an engineering degree in any discipline and has experience working within a high-volume manufacturing environment. Training may include development on PLC, building management systems, CAD, and project management.

About You

To be successful in this position, you should have:

  • Previous experience in a facilities environment (desirable)
  • Technical understanding of pumps and motors (beneficial)
  • Evidence of new equipment installation
  • A mindset for continuous improvement
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Project management capability
  • Full right to work in the UK and hold a UK driving license

The estimated salary for this role is £52,000 - £62,000 per annum, based on industry standards and location.
