Orthoptist Specialist

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Orthoptist to join our team at Ekhuft. As an Orthoptist Specialist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients with a range of eye conditions, including paediatric ophthalmology, ocular motility, and neuro-ophthalmology.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop treatment plans for patients with complex eye conditions
• Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to provide coordinated care and support
• Develop and deliver educational programs for patients, families, and healthcare professionals
• Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical guidelines and policies
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and experiences

Requirements

• Registration with the relevant professional body
• Postgraduate qualification in Orthoptics or a related field
• Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in a teaching hospital setting
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
