About the Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced Ecological Impact Assessment Specialist to join our marine ecology team in the UK. You will be responsible for providing technical advice on marine ecology and consenting for various projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical advice on marine ecology and consenting for various projects, including EIA and DCO development cycles.
  • Deliver high-quality marine ecology impact assessments, including ES chapters and associated assessments (HRA, MCZ, and WFD).
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to improve environmental outcomes of projects.
Requirements
  • A recognised degree in marine biology/ecology or a related field and relevant professional membership (CIEEM or similar).
  • Comprehensive marine ecological expertise with experience in preparing and reviewing technical chapters and impact assessments.
  • Detailed understanding of marine consenting and licencing regimes across the UK.

The estimated salary for this role is £65,000-£85,000 per annum, depending on experience. AECOM offers flexible hybrid working models and a safe and respectful workplace culture.
