Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Childcare Support Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with the Head Teacher to deliver a range of stimulating activities in a safe environment that meet the needs of both children and their families.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and be able to build strong relationships with children, parents, and colleagues. You will be required to register with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) and embark on accredited training.

Responsibilities:

  • To work as an effective member of the childcare team, supporting the Head Teacher in delivering activities that meet the needs of children and their families.
  • To register with the SSSC and undertake accredited training.
  • To maintain high standards of child care and safety.

Requirements:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
  • Willingness to learn and develop skills and knowledge in childcare.

Salary and Benefits:

£17,664 - £18,149 per annum, salary placement will normally be at the first point of the scale. The Highland Council offers a range of benefits, including opportunities for professional development and a supportive work environment.
