Job Description

We are seeking a skilled SEN teaching assistant to provide support to children with various additional needs in schools. The ideal candidate will have a caring and nurturing personality, excellent communication skills, and the ability to effectively manage challenging behaviour.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing one-to-one support to pupils with additional educational needs
  • Promoting good behaviour and managing challenging situations
  • Aiding pupils in their learning as effectively as possible
  • Assisting teachers with lesson planning and delivery
  • Performing administrative tasks

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children or young adults with additional needs
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to build rapport with children and staff
  • Certificate of Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)
