Job Description: Volunteer Horticulturist

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic volunteer horticulturist to join our team at the Down to Earth Community Garden in Braintree. Our garden is a vibrant community space that provides a unique opportunity for individuals to learn and develop new skills in horticulture and community gardening.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work closely with our experienced team to create a welcoming environment for visitors and volunteers. They will assist in the development and maintenance of the garden, participate in gardening activities, and contribute to the overall well-being of the garden and its users.

Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and maintain the garden, including planting, weeding, and pruning
• Create a safe and inclusive environment for all visitors and volunteers
• Participate in gardening activities, including seed collection and composting
• Assist in the creation of a welcoming environment for visitors and volunteers

Requirements:
• No prior gardening experience is necessary; training will be provided
• Availability on Thursdays between 10 a.m. and 16:00 p.m.
