BIM Implementation Specialist

We are a leading mechanical HVAC contractor, specialising in Ventilation and Smoke & Fire Safety. Our comprehensive service spans Design, Engineering (including Digital & BIM), Procurement & Manufacture, Installation and Testing & Commissioning. We operate across various core market sectors, including Energy & Decommissioning, Defence, Transport, Residential and Commercial.
The RoleWe are seeking a BIM Implementation Specialist to lead the implementation and adaptation of BIM principles and solutions within our business.
Main Responsibilities- Lead the BIM scope and requirements on projects, providing assistance to all team members.
- Develop templates and source documents for internal use.
- Contribute to the digitalisation project, providing input, questions, and testing. Drive the BIM-related digitalisation within the business.
- Liaise closely with the Information Manager regarding CDE and data aspects, ensuring BIM policies and relevant CAD elements are up to date.
- Collaborate with external CAD partners to ensure all relevant coordination is up to date and communicated effectively.
- Explore new digitalisation methodologies within the BIM environment and implement them effectively.
- Liaise with the IT team to develop processes and solutions internally to suit BIM-related needs.
- Develop and mentor team members, including off-site resources.
- Represent the company at relevant BIM events and conferences.
- Work independently and as part of a team.
You will have experience in Revit, CAM-DUCT, AutoCAD/Inventor, and Navisworks. Ideally, you will have experience in MEP or highly regulated industries such as Nuclear, Pharmaceuticals, etc. A BIM-related qualification is desirable.
