We are seeking an experienced and skilled Category Director to join our team at Iceland. In this role, you will be responsible for leading cross-functional teams and building long-term supplier relationships to deliver high-value category strategies.
About the RoleThe ideal candidate will have extensive buying experience and excellent communication skills. You will be highly analytical and numerate, with expert negotiation skills supported by GAP training. Leadership cross-functionally and amongst peers is also essential.
Responsibilities- Lead cross-functional teams to develop and implement category plans
- Negotiate lower costs through effective supplier management
- Drive profitable sales growth and meet financial targets
- Ensure accurate forecasting and reporting
- Manage supply agreements and JBP's
- Extensive buying experience in a similar field
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Highly analytical and numerate
- Expert negotiation skills
- Leadership cross-functionally and amongst peers
- An estimated salary of £65,000 - £75,000 per annum
