Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Calibration Expert - Electrical to join our team in Barrow-in-Furness. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-end calibrations and repairs on electrical test, measurement, and diagnostic equipment.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Carry out high-end calibrations and repairs on a wide range of electrical TMDE equipment
  2. Develop and deliver targeted on-the-job training and experiential learning to team members and apprentices/graduates
  3. Assist the ICS Electrical team leader as required, including people and resource management, workflow management, and workload sign-off
  4. Prepare and approve calibration procedures and measurement uncertainty budgets
  5. Participate in quality audits, achieving UKAS signatory status
  6. Communicate effectively with technical stakeholders on instrumentation and calibration topics

Essential Requirements:

  • Significant experience working in a precision electrical calibration laboratory environment
  • Strong understanding of quality systems and standards (ISO 17025/ISO 9001)
  • Relevant academic qualification (STEM degree, HNC/HND or equivalent)
