About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Billing Team Lead to join our Finance Team. As part of the billing team, you will be responsible for leading the team in ensuring the accurate and timely dispatch of invoicing to secure maximum cash collection while maintaining excellent client relationships.

The ideal candidate will have experience in billing and team leadership. A strong ability to work independently and manage own workload is essential. This role involves working in a fast-paced environment with competing demands and priorities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leading the billing team in quality delivery of invoicing to end clients within specific requirements and agreed timetable.
  • Allocation and reconciliation of incoming payments received in a timely manner.
  • Preparation and processing of supplier payments within agreed terms.
  • Maintenance of accounts receivable and accounts payable ledger to ensure consistent and accurate status visibility.
  • Client and supplier query management.
  • Aged debt reporting and analysis.
  • Production of account status updates and management information as requested.
  • Escalation of issues impacting completion of tasks within set timescales.

About You:

  • Highly organized worker with a high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to manage own workload while working to agreed targets and deadlines.
  • Good Excel skills with the ability to pick up new systems quickly.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and use own initiative.
