About the Role:

Olleco is seeking a skilled SQL Database Analyst to join our team in Blisworth, Northampton. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining SQL databases for various projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop efficient and optimized SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and triggers.
  • Perform data analysis, validation, and troubleshooting.
  • Collaborate with other developers, testers, and project managers to ensure the quality and functionality of systems.
  • Perform database housekeeping such as tuning and indexing.
  • Discuss changes and problems within the IT Team to find solutions.
  • Surface data and information to the business via reporting solutions such as SQL Server Reporting Services and Power BI.
  • Document and report work progress and results.

Requirements:

  • Qualified to Degree level or equivalent.
  • Proven knowledge of SQL Server (T-SQL) and relational database concepts and principles.
  • Experience in working with data warehouses and data lakes.
  • Knowledge of BI self-service tools, preferably Power BI and SSRS.
  • Experience of working effectively in an IT team.
  • Effective communication skills, written and verbal.
  • Record of accomplishment of delivering results for both day-to-day responsibilities and project-based activity.
