Job Description

As a Deputy Manager in our Residential Care setting, you will work closely with the Registered Manager to oversee the day-to-day running of the home. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Team Leadership & Mentorship: Supervise and mentor staff, manage shift patterns, and ensure compliance with all relevant policies and procedures.
  • Childcare Planning: Ensure placement plans and risk assessments are up-to-date and meet the individual needs of each child.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Support the Registered Manager with professional audits, OFSTED requirements, and Reg44 compliance.
  • Youth Engagement: Build positive relationships with young people, empowering them to achieve their potential and safeguarding their welfare.
  • Operational Support: Assist with admissions, discharges, and day-to-day operations, deputizing in the Manager's absence.
