Job Title: Primary School Cook

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic cook to join our team at Term Time Teachers. As a Primary School Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and serving healthy meals to students during after-school hours.

About the Role:

  • This is a part-time position working up to 100 pupils per day.
  • You will ensure all meals meet dietary and nutritional guidelines.
  • Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized kitchen in accordance with health and safety standards is crucial.
  • Inventory management, food supplies, and kitchen equipment must be effectively managed.
  • Close collaboration with school staff and Term Time Teachers is necessary for smooth meal service.
  • The role involves working PM Shifts on Friday (13:30-18:00 and 14:30-17:30).

Requirements:

  • A valid Enhanced Child DBS or willingness to obtain one is required.
  • A Level 2 Food Safety and Hygiene certificate is necessary.
  • Previous experience as a cook or in a similar role (preferably within an educational setting) is preferred.
  • Familiarity with food safety and hygiene standards is essential.
  • The ability to work independently and manage time effectively is crucial.
  • A passion for cooking and commitment to promoting healthy eating for children is vital.
