Private Client Solicitor Job Description

An experienced Private Client Solicitor is sought for a dynamic and ambitious Legal 500 ranked firm in Essex. This role presents an excellent opportunity to contribute to a growing team and work on a variety of private client matters.

Job Overview:

We are seeking a qualified solicitor with at least 4 years of PQE in private client practice or equivalent. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of all aspects of private client law and practice, including drafting wills, trusts, and lasting powers of attorney.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drafting complex estate planning documents, such as wills and trusts
  • Advising clients on succession planning and tax-efficient lifetime giving
  • Managing estates, including obtaining grants of administration
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and professional contacts
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues across both offices in Chelmsford and Felixstowe

Requirements:

  • Qualified solicitor or legal professional with at least 4 years PQE in private client practice or equivalent
  • Strong knowledge of private client law and practice
  • Ability to work self-sufficiently and manage own caseload

  • A competitive salary and benefits package, estimated to be around £50,000-£65,000 per annum, depending on experience
