About the Role

Johnson Controls is seeking a skilled Total Productive Maintenance Engineer to join our team in Frome. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will play a crucial role in driving total productive maintenance across our manufacturing site.

The ideal candidate will have experience in maintenance, repairs, and breakdowns, with a qualification in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering. Additionally, experience in hydraulics, pneumatics, robotics, PLC, and CMMS (Computerised Maintenance Management Systems) would be beneficial.

You will work a rotating 3 shift pattern, including breaks, broken into 1x 10hr and 4x 8hr shifts. This is an excellent opportunity to work as a Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer at our manufacturing site and assist the Maintenance team in completing daily duties.

Responsibilities

  1. Assist in the daily operations of a busy machining and manufacturing site.
  2. Respond to maintenance, breakdowns and project work.
  3. Ability to build asset care plans and TPM schedules based on equipment knowledge.
  4. Working closely with the Maintenance Engineering Manager, Production Manager, Quality Manager, Process Engineers and Production Operators.
  5. Presenting at all levels, electronically and verbally.
  6. Respond to equipment breakdowns and effective fault finding on critical production equipment.
  7. Plan and carry out repair, improvement and preventative maintenance work on all production equipment.
  8. Effective supervision of subcontractor activities as the need arises.
  9. Identification of continuous improvement of plant, equipment and systems.
  10. Effective logging and documentation of reactive and planned maintenance tasks.
  11. Support with Planned Maintenance activities during the production shut down periods.
  12. Build and update maintenance and equipment procedures.
  13. Maintain and coordinate all asset documentation.
