Financial Controller Opportunity

The company is seeking a skilled Financial Controller to oversee the financial management and reporting for the business. This strategic role will place you at the helm of the company's financial operations, working closely with the Managing Director to drive efficiency and growth.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Management
  • Oversee day-to-day accounting and financial operations, including VAT, payroll, and cash flow management.
  • Lead the production of monthly management accounts and ensure accuracy in financial reporting.
  • Manage year-end statutory processes and liaise with external auditors.


Reporting and Planning
  • Prepare and analyse monthly and annual reports to monitor trends, financial health, and forecasts.
  • Spearhead budgeting and forecasting processes across multiple timeframes.
  • Collaborate with various departments to refine financial strategies and ensure alignment with business objectives.


Leadership and Development
  • Manage and mentor a skilled finance team, fostering a culture of collaboration and growth.
  • Propose and implement systems and processes to streamline operations and improve financial controls.


Compliance and Risk Management
  • Ensure compliance with government regulations, tax laws, and financial reporting standards.
  • Collaborate with auditing services and external advisors to maintain high standards of compliance.


Strategic Contributions
  • Translate business strategy into actionable financial plans with measurable KPIs.
  • Support decision-making by providing financial insights and creative alternatives to reduce costs and enhance performance.

The role is office based with travel between offices based in Norfolk and Suffolk and some hybrid working. The salary for this role is up to £60k + car + 25 days holiday + 5% pension + healthcare.
