About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Electrical Maintenance Specialist to join our Mechanical Engineering Team at Ipswich Hospital. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing effective maintenance, repairs, and modifications to a wide range of Electrical/Mechanical/Building Services within the Trust.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out the repair, maintenance, and installation of plant, equipment, systems, and building structure/fabric associated with all Trust properties.
  • Provide high-quality service in respect to the undertaking of maintenance, repairs, and modifications.
  • Work collaboratively with Estates Department staff and other disciplines to ensure effective communication and relationship skills.
  • Attend departmental meetings and briefings as required.

Requirements

  • Completed a recognised trade apprenticeship and hold a BTEC HNC/diploma in Engineering or equivalent City and Guilds qualification.
  • Significant equivalent experience in non-routine maintenance of complex engineering plant and equipment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work quickly and efficiently in difficult environments and under pressure.
