Elvet Recruitment is partnering with a leading civil engineering contractor to recruit an experienced Site Engineer for a key infrastructure project in the Teesside region.
This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled professional to join a dynamic team and contribute to the delivery of a major water framework project.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain high standards of personal safety and environmental compliance.
- Supervise assistant engineers and ensure effective communication across the project team.
- Verify accuracy and completeness of technical documents, including drawings and specifications.
- Provide precise setting out and coordinate with foremen and gangers to ensure seamless information exchange.
- Organize formal checking of setting out and complete inspection and test plans.
- Maintain accurate site records, including daily diaries and 4-weekly programs.
- Ensure material deliveries are correctly coded and reconcile material usage figures for reporting purposes.
- Carry out testing and sampling of materials and provide assistance to the measurement department as needed.
- Manage survey books and verify receipt of materials, performing quality checks where applicable.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Site Engineer with a main contractor on infrastructure projects.
- HNC/HND or equivalent construction-related degree preferred.
- CSCS, First Aid, and Full Driver's License certifications required.
Remuneration:
A competitive salary of up to £40,000 (dependent on experience), plus benefits including company vehicle or allowance, fuel card, annual leave, healthcare, pension scheme, and other perks.
