Science Solutions Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled Design Engineer to join our client's team in the Leicestershire area.


To be considered for this role, you must have a degree in an engineering discipline, preferably Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Materials Engineering.


As a Design Engineer, you will play a crucial role in reducing customer complaints and assisting in profit maximization by identifying and implementing process improvements to reduce costs and improve overall product quality.


Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop new and existing technology to meet the factory's needs.
  • Manage and deliver projects within budget, scope, and safety requirements.
  • Introduce new products into the facility while optimizing and maintaining the process.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to reduce manufacturing costs and improve product quality.


Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in a similar role in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficient in the use of mechanical software such as SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
  • Previous experience in managing process risk and hazard assessment tools such as PFMEA, FMEA, HAZOP, and more.
  • Understanding of CI Methodologies and any relevant qualifications.
